Tiger Lily

Tiger Lily

Happiness feels like a French Broad Breeze

Your head on my chest, my head in the weeds

Our heads in the clouds as we straddle river trees

Leaving back dusty footprints and taking back sweetest memories

Happiness looks like a skyscraper top

silhouette sunset at your back

hidey-hidey-hi with you my love around every hilly city block

i could never dare think to give it back

Happiness is You next to Me next to You

Happiness is You next to Me next to You

Happiness sounds like big-iron echoes

Freefallin' downtown in the Key of D

Big-iron backdrop to a soursweet rusty noise

singing Petty songs of good girls and bad boys

got me whistlin' dixie to those Tom Petty songs of good girls and bad boys

I can't shake those not-so-petty Petty songs of good girls and bad boys

Happiness is You next to Me next to You

Happiness is You next to Me next to You

Happiness tastes kinda like candy in a cup

Of a farewell dessert in an ice cream shop

Sweet cup of candy dropped down on the floor

Sweet cup picked back 'cuz we wanted more

Happiness tastes kinda like candy in a cup

Of a farewell dessert in an ice cream shop

Sweet cup of candy dropped down on the floor

Sweet cup picked back 'cuz we wanted more

Happiness tastes kinda like candy in a cup

Of a farewell dessert in an ice cream shop

Sweet cup of candy dropped down on the floor

Sweet cup picked back 'cuz we wanted more

Happiness is You next to Me next to You

Happiness is You next to Me next to You

Happiness smells kinda like midnight rain

fresh cut grass and evergreen trees

we were lying on your back borch under agitated clouds

upset, hung-so-low and

spitting the sweetest of springtime sprays

Lightning in your eye

Lightning in your eye

Lightning in your eye my dear

Thunder in my veins!

Happiness is You next to Me next to You

Happiness is You next to Me next to You

My husband and I listened to Tim Falvey sing Tiger Lily on a bench at the waterfront park in Charleston, SC. It was the highlight of our trip. I wanted to stay all evening, but I promised my husband a walk. Thank you for making for us a sweet memorable moment. I searched and searched until I found the name of the song! 😊. Tim is extremely talented and when he talks, he sounds like a singer I listened to in the early 80’s. Keith Green. God bless you!
